ETH Zurich's D-ITET Department launches Direct Doctorate Programme

Great news for aspiring researchers! The Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (D-ITET) at ETH Zurich has introduced a new opportunity this year with the launch of the "Direct Doctorate Program."

The Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (D-ITET) at ETH Zurich has introduced the "Direct Doctorate Programme" starting from this year. Unlike the general PhD recruiting process that requires the applicant to have a Master's degree, the new “Direct Doctorate Programme” allows exceptional applicants with only a Bachelor's degree to apply for PhD positions directly at D-ITET of ETH Zurich. This programme creates a complementary and fast-track process for talent acquisition at ETH Zurich.

Are you interested in pursuing a PhD degree with us? The IDEAS Group at ETH Zurich welcomes motivated individuals to become part of our vibrant and fast-growing research community. We seek exceptional applicants in all the three areas of our research: Wireless Integrated Circuits and Systems, Integrated Bioelectronics and Biosensors, and Emerging Technologies (https://ideas.ethz.ch/). The application deadline is December 15 2023. The starting time of the Direct Doctorate PhDs is September 2024.

Interested applicants should first email your CV and your Bachelor transcript directly to Professor Wang (hua.wang at iis.ee.ethz.ch). Please place “Direct Doctorate Applicant: Your Name” in your email subject. Selected applicants will be invited for full applications, which should be submitted by December 15 2023. Applicants will be reviewed and interviewed on a rolling basis.

Please visit the Academic Application page for more details and regulations of the “Direct Doctorate Programme”. Note applicants with Master's degree or joint Bachelor/Master degrees should apply through our regular PhD application links (https://ideas.ethz.ch/).

Your research journey begins here. Seize the opportunity to become part of the IDEAS group at ETH Zurich. Apply now and unleash your research potential!
